One to One Tuition
My 1:1 tutoring sessions are designed with your child’s unique interests and strengths at the heart of every plan, ensuring they feel valued and understood. I am here to nurture their confidence and gently support them with any gaps in their learning, so they can move forward. My sessions cover reading, writing, phonics, and maths, encompassing the entire primary curriculum. I support learners working up to Year 6 level and also provide guidance as they progress beyond, including preparation for functional skills. If applicable, I use advice and targets in EHCPs and the insights of other professionals, guaranteeing the most supportive and tailored approach. Prices start at £50
Group Sessions
I offer engaging group sessions that foster collaboration and peer learning among children. Careful attention is given to forming positive group dynamics: I often begin with one-to-one sessions, allowing me to truly understand each child’s personality, strengths, and needs. When I feel there are learners who would complement and inspire one another, I bring them together to develop naturally into a supportive group. Drawing on my training in KAGAN cooperative learning structures, I create opportunities for every child to participate, share their ideas, and learn from their peers in a nurturing environment. These group sessions focus on reading, phonics, and maths, and are sometimes combined to support children during key transition periods such as Year 6, helping them build confidence, teamwork skills, and a deeper understanding of core concepts. Bravehearts Sessions
Brave Hearts Club is a unique programme designed and written by Kate Smith, a mental health leader with 20 years of experience supporting children and families. The club runs in 6-week blocks and welcomes up to four girls in each group, ensuring an intimate and supportive environment. Each week explores a different theme, such as recognising emotions, energy accounting, building self-confidence, and advocating for personal needs. Through engaging arts and crafts activities like making calm jars and worry stones, the girls can express themselves creatively while learning vital emotional skills. Every session begins with a warm welcome, and each girl is celebrated as an individual; to foster a sense of belonging, members proudly wear their Brave Heart badges each week. Per session price £20
Alternative Education
I also offer daytime sessions as an alternative to mainstream education. These include small group sessions—one for KS1 and another for KS2—which combine reading, writing, and maths in an integrated and engaging format. Alongside these, I provide a number of one-to-one sessions to ensure individual needs are fully met. Tuition can also be arranged as part of an EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) package, making my provision ideal for children who might be burnt out or unable to attend school and who benefit from a nurturing, child-led approach to learning. Prices start at £60 for a 2 hour group session or £75 for a 2 hour one to one session.
EHCP Consultation
Alongside my tuition services, I provide expert advice and guidance for parents navigating the EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) process, including hands-on support with drafting parental requests. As an experienced SENCO, I have written numerous requests to local authorities and have gained valuable insights from observing EHCP panel discussions. I am also currently advancing my expertise by studying for my SEND Law Level 3 qualification.
